Social Group Rides

Not looking to race but want to try group riding? Whether you’re a local rider or just passing through, enjoy a social spin with us. There are a number of groups that ride daily in and around Warrnambool.

Lattes

All Lattes rides start at the intersection of Mortlake Rd / Balmoral Rd.
Tuesday, Thursday – 6.00am – 28 km loop 30 km/h – 35 km/h average. Generally race pace returning back to Warrnambool.


Monday, Wednesday, Friday – 6:30am Recovery Ride 28km loop.
Saturday 6.45am – Saturday Classic 50-55km loop disciplined two abreast pace of 30-35km/hr for the first 20km. The bunch splits with about at half way point, faster group does an additional 5km at race pace.
Sunday – ‘Family Ride’ – 8.00am Recovery Ride

TryHards

All TryHard rides start at the intersection of Boiling Down Rd / Battarbee St
Monday – Friday 6.05am Friendly pace, no drop rides, 27km loop 25-30km/hr average.
Also less regular longer rides on weekends, 7.05 am Saturday and 8.05 Sunday.

Veterans

Starting at the intersection of Aberline Rd and Anchor Point Village

Port Fairy to Warrnambool Rail Trail
The 38 km Port Fairy to Warrnambool Rail Trail links the historic towns of Port Fairy and Koroit with the city of Warrnambool.
Surface: Packed limestone, bitumen (in town areas) and quartz gravel.
Suitable for: All cycles except those fitted with racing tyres.

Melbourne to Warrnambool – Road Race
The Melbourne to Warrnambool Cycling Festival includes the second oldest one day cycling event in the world and the longest in the Southern Hemisphere.

Dirty Warrny – Gravel Race
Starting in Geelong, or the shorter course starting in Forrest, the Dirty Warrny leaves nowhere to hide. A true match, pitting rider and course against each other for over 246 kilometres of racing, off the beaten track.

A Big Ride – Road Charity Ride
The purpose of the Big Ride is to support Big Life, a Warrnambool initiative working in local schools building the mental health of our students. Big Life is about developing a strong growth mind set and building resilience in students. That way they can live a big life, unburdened by the shackles of poor mental health.

Murray to Moyne – Road Charity Ride
The Murray to Moyne is a team relay event. Participants raise funds for hospitals, health services and health related charities. There are a number of Warrnambool teams that join this event.
